Abstract
We have discovered a compact group of ~ 10 large galaxies at redshift z = 2.38. Two of the galaxies are strong Lyman-α emitters; all are bright in the near IR. We hypothesise that the group represents a giant elliptical galaxy caught in the act of bottom-up formation.
