Abstract

Climate change is impacting coffee production globally, particularly in Southeast Asia. Rising temperatures, erratic rainfall and increasing pest issues are reducing yield and quality while driving up costs. Efforts to counter these challenges include the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices and technological advancements like breeding resilient coffee varieties. Small farmers need concerted support from governments, international organisations and consumers, as well as stronger climate policies.
