Abstract

This submission was made to the Department for Energy and Mining (DEM) Review of South Australia's National Energy Retail Law (Local Provisions) Regulations (Regulations) in September 2024. The Regulations apply or modify how the National Energy Customer Framework operates in South Australia and the purpose of the review was to “ensure that the Regulations remain relevant and effective”. This submission addresses extreme weather protections and the use of prepayment for household electricity services in South Australia.
