Abstract

The problem of exponential stability for a class of uncertain linear delay systems allowing for actuator failures has been investigated and resolved via using the approach of switching in systems and control. On the grounds of the method of average dwell time, a solution for state feedback controllers are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities such that the resulting closed-loop system is exponentially stable. The solution is obtained under the condition that activation time ratio between the system without actuator failure and the system with actuator failures is not less than a specified constant. An illustrative example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design and numerical computation involved.
