Abstract

We present the development of instrumentation that will be installed on the Mount Stromlo Optical Communications Ground Station (OCGS) at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, Australia. The OCGS facility will have a 0.7 m telescope in a 6.5 m dome with an optical lab below connected by a coude path. Initial instrumentation for low Earth orbit and lunar communications will be equipped directly to the telescope with the lunar communications transmitter and receiver instruments capable of supporting the Artemis II crewed mission due to launch in 2024.
