Abstract
This submission was made to the Utilities Commission of the Northern Territory (UCNT) Electricity Industry Performance Code (EIP Code) Review in August 2025. The purpose of the UCNT’s review is to determine the relevance and effectiveness of the EIP Code, which includes retail performance indicators for household electricity services. The consultation occurred in two stages with stakeholders invited to respond to a Consultation Paper and subsequently the Draft Decision. This supplementary submission responds to the UCNT’s Draft Decision and draws attention to hardship policy exemptions and how they interact with remote reporting obligations in this review.
