User-centric approach to design an outbreak management tool for aged care facilities

Abstract

Background and Aim In the Metro North Hospital and Health Service region, the surveillance and management of outbreaks of acute respiratory infections in residential aged care facilities has traditionally been resource intensive and induced a large workload upon public health unit staff.
