Abstract
Van Leer was a Dutch company producing metal and later also plastic drums and pails for packaging and storage. In 1961 it became Australia's premier producer of pails and drums for 40 years, with production and distribution facilities in Australia's capital cities. These were acquired by American firm Greif in 2001.
