Abstract

We have introduced numerical schemes for simulating pattern formation at the interface between two imiscible fluids in an etched radial Hele Shaw cell. Our simulations, which have been carried out over a range of two model parameters, are compared with experimental results that have been reported for a range of plate spacings and applied pressures. The simulations reproduce the complete range of morphology transitions in the experiments.
