This submission was made to the Electricity Code Consultative Committee (ECCC) public consultation conducted as part of the 2024 Review of Western Australia’s Code of Conduct for the Supply of Electricity to Small Use Customers (Code). The purpose of the ECCC’s consultation was to seek stakeholder feedback on proposed updates to the Code outlined in the ECCC's Draft Review Report. This submission responds to the Draft Review Report and advocates for improved consumer rights and protections for prepayment meter customers, including in relation to hardship supports and protections from disconnection during extreme weather.
