Abstract

The invention of the Silver solar cells that will have higher efficiency, lower cost and greater design flexibility that will use less silicon, is discussed. It is observed that about 95 percent of the world market for photovoltaics is supplied using solar cells made on single or multi crystalline silicon wafers. The silver solar cell process uses standard materials and techniques in novel ways to create thin crystalline solar cells with superior performance and reduced cost. It is found that silver cells are perfectly bifacial, utilizing light equally well regardless of which surface the light impinges upon.
