Abstract

Description

The photographs are mostly of the Australian National University campus, including Mount Stromlo and Siding Spring. There are aerial photographs of the Acton site at different times, and photographs of events and portraits. Many are mounted on board for display purposes.
A model of the new construction. The largest dome, which will be 150 feet high with a diameter of 120 feet, will house the 150-inch telescope. The two smaller domes are for a projected 48-inch Schmidt camera and a 60-inch reflector. The long building in the centre of the model is the astronomers' lodge and the two structures in front of the 150-inch building are the workshop and the tourist centre.
