Abstract

Description

The dome for the 16-inch telescope (left) and the 40-inch telescope at Siding Spring Observatory command sweeting views of the Warrumbubgle Range in north-western N.S.W. The observatory is the field station of the Australian National University's Department of Astronomy and provides major facilities for research. The Siding Spring site is considered to be one of the finest for astronomical research in the southern hemisphere.
