Abstract
Description
A group of people, the Friends of Kioloa, has been established to help with development and research at the Edith and Joy London Foundation, the University's new field station at Kioloa on the NSW South Coast. During Easter, 30 Friends worked at the field station re-roofing and repairing buildings, painting and gardening. Some even worked through the lunch hours, as this picture, taken at one of the cabines under repair, shows. The Chairman of the Management Committee of the Edith and Joy London Foundation, Professor Donald Walker, says that 'if any student or employee of the University would like to help by cleaning up garbage, clearing creeks, painting cottages, trapping frogs, gardening, or anything else they can suggest, they might like to join Friends of Kioloa'. People interested can contact Mrs Arney, Department of Biogeography and Geomorphology, on ext. 461.
