The Australian National University acknowledges, celebrates and pays our respects to the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people of the Canberra region and to all First Nations Australians on whose traditional lands we meet and work, and whose cultures are among the oldest continuing cultures in human history.

Abstract

Senator Susan Ryan (Labor Party, ACT) and Tina Nightingale (a national women's officer for the Australian Union of Students), spoke on women and tertiary education at the rally, which was part of national celebrations held to draw attention to the needs of women studying at Australian universities and colleges (reference: ANU Reporter, vol. 13, no. 12, p. 5).
