Cultural advice

The Australian National University acknowledges, celebrates and pays our respects to the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people of the Canberra region and to all First Nations Australians on whose traditional lands we meet and work, and whose cultures are among the oldest continuing cultures in human history.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are advised that ANU Library collections may include images, names, voices, and other representations of deceased persons.

Material in the collection may contain terms, language or views that reflect the period in which the item was created and may be considered inappropriate today.

The Australian National University and Canberra University College reports contain information from 1952-1998 about staff and subjects offered, they also contain information regarding the general prospects of the various areas. From very early on, the reports advocated the need for a full-scale teaching university in Canberra. From 1962, detailed information on academic and administrative matters were recorded in reports to the ANU Council from research schools, teaching departments and administrative areas. This collection covers the period 1952 to 1998 and includes both Canberra University College (CUC) and the ANU.
