Cultural advice

The Australian National University acknowledges, celebrates and pays our respects to the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people of the Canberra region and to all First Nations Australians on whose traditional lands we meet and work, and whose cultures are among the oldest continuing cultures in human history.

Ole Christensen films

The films recorded by Christensen depict people from various groups in the area using traditional methods of tool making, cooking, farming, and hunting, as well as funerary rites and other rituals. Ole Christensen died, aged 29, in a car accident on 16 December 1974.
