Abstract

This workshop was envisaged to have two main purposes. The first was to collate and review ongoing and new harbour research done since the 1984 workshop (including projects instigated as a result of the Dames and Moore Darwin Harbour Study). The second purpose was to discuss plans and advances in harbour management, and in particular to try and improve communication and lessen the gap between research and management. People representing a variety of disciplines were invited to participate, ranging from N.T Fisheries to the North Australia Research Unit to engineering companies.
