Abstract

The papers in this book examine selected public policy issues in Canada and Australia within the framework of their federal systems of government. The book consists of eight parts, dealing respectively with historical aspects of federalism, constitutional reform, inflation and unemployment, economic development and structural change, fiscal federalism, higher education and health policies, cultural policy, and problems of federal government in the two countries.
