Sedimentological and morphological study of selected cave systems in Eastern New South Wales, Australia
Abstract
This thesis has two main aspects . Primarily, it is a geomorphological
study of a number of caves in five areas of central eastern New South Wales.
Secondarily, it is methodological ; it demonstrates the value of using both
sedimentary and bedrock-morphological evidence to interpret cave development
, and it tests a specific method in which clay-mineral types in cave
sediments are used to interpret surface palaeoenvironment .
