Debt-for-Nature Swaps : transnational environmental politics in a changing global political economy or NGOs, LDCs and IOUs

Abstract

Debt-for-nature swaps are a new phenomenon in world politics. Initiated as a response to third world debt problems and the urgent need for environmental protection, debt-for-nature swaps represent a very interesting development in the areas of international finance, international negotiation and international roles for non-state actors.
