There is broad acceptance of the proposal for a Library Development Program for Burma presented as Appendix Q of the Sectoral Review, 1987, which was prepared after consultations between Australian and Burmese government officials. This program would involve: (a) Postgraduate training in Australia (b) Short-term training in Australia (c) Short-term advisers in Burma (d) Resources - books for libraries, and materials to support librarian teaching in Burma
