Abstract

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this film recording contains images, voices and names of people who are deceased. -- Where black Americans turned to the blues to express their stories, Australia's Aboriginal people were drawn to country and western music and made a special music all of their own. Buried country traces over six decades of this rich musical tradition. Features performances by Bobby McLeod, Bob Randall, Vic Simms, Wilga Williams, Auriel Andrew, Jimmy Little, Troy Cassar-Daley, Slim Dusty.
