Abstract
Feature examining the many recent developments seen in the Rostock district in terms of industry, housing, working and living conditions, and culture. -- Includes footage highlighting Rostock's growing popularity, its recent developments in construction and industry, particularly its busy harbours; of Rostock university, its naval engineering training college and the variety of vocational courses on offer; of the development of shipbuilding and ship yards through the district's relationship with the Soviet Union; a new nuclear power plant under construction, the product and the technology having come from the Soviet Union; the district's leisure and holiday facilities.
