Abstract

This is the second of three linked In Briefs discussing the record, the reasons for the election, and the leadership attributes of the newly elected (September 2020) President of Bougainville, Ishmael Toroama. This part discusses Toroama’s roles in extensive business activities since the 2005 establishment of the ABG and his significant role as a musician, both of which are relevant to the outcomes of the 2020 ABG presidential election.
