dc.description.abstract	This book analyses macro-economic policies and performance in Papua New Guinea in the first seven years of Independence,from 1975 to 1982.Its main focus is on exchange rate and monetary policy. But because all aspects of macro-economic policy are linked closely with each otherit also deals extensively with fiscal and wages policy, and a range of micro-economic policy areas which affect long-term growth performance.
