Abstract

This thesis is a study of the amount and kind of interaction between Italian migrants and Australians in the Ovens Valley area of Victoria. It has been undertaken with a view to increasing sociological understanding of interaction between migrants and hosts, which is regarded as a crucial aspect of the process of assimilation as a whole.
