Abstract
In this Centre of Gravity paper, Professor Robert S. Ross of Boston College and Harvard University examines the US pivot to Asia and what it means for stability in the region and Australia's security. Professor Ross argues that the US pivot to Asia has been a largely strategic/military initiative, that it has contributed to a decrease in regional security and that Australia needs to be cautious in how it responds to the pivot to ensure its national interests.
