Abstract
Samoa has been implementing financial sector reforms sector since 1998. This paper undertakes an econometric investigation of the impact of these reforms on demand for money by fitting both short-run and long-run demand for money equations. Tests do not provide strong evidence that reforms affected the stability of the money demand function.
