Abstract

Dr Nasser Bagheri of the Australian National University spent three months in The Netherlands exploring Cardiovascular risk mapping in Netherlands and Australia: a comparative analysis. This project aimed to identify ‘risk hot spots’ for preventable cardiovascular diseases (CVD) that will predict their likely development over time. This will allow interventions to be targeted to the right place, at the right time, to the right people and provide an innovative tool to help address the alarming rise of CVD in the Australian community.
