Description
The use of cyclodextrins and stilbenes as components of supramolecular structures was discussed. Hermaphroditic molecules thermodynamically favor the formation of dimeric complexes and high oligomers might be formed when appropriate geometry is installed. In order to find application in nanotechnology, the ultimate aim was to be able to control the motion with application of external stimuli, such as heat or light. The cyclodextrin was found to move from one binding state to another upon...[Show more]
