Abstract
Front row (centre): Ted McCormick (white shirt with tie) who, as a sailor in HMAS Manoora, was witness to the struggles of the Indonesian Republic in the Jakarta region in 1946. McCormick later became a Federal Councillor of the Waterside Workers' Federation of Australia.
