dc.descriptionAs the parasol above his head indicates, this portrait represents a king. He is covered with jewellery. The sculptor has skilfully expressed the fierce as well as majestic aspect of his subject who may have been the great Rajah Jatvarman Sundara Pandya 1 (1251-1272).
