At the time, only the Canberra University College (CUC) existed; the Australian National University being established in 1946 and later being amalgamated with the CUC. It contains site plans incorporating Walter Burley Griffin's original plan for Canberra; sketches showing design options; maps showing proposed boundaries; extracts from minutes of National Capital Planning and Design Committee meetings and sketches of other universites to calculate the area required for a University.
