Abstract
On verso: 'With Government planes carrying out an intensive bombardment from the air and loyal troops keeping up an incessant fire from barricades in the streets, the rebel headquarters in Toledo- the famous Alacazar- was reduced to ruins. Tanks and artillery were brought into action against the rebels in the city- one of their strongholds to the south of the capital. PHOTO SHOWS: Government militia firing on the rebels in the Alcazar, Toledo, from the shelter of a hastily-erected barricade. C/V July 31st 1936 PN.g.'
