Description
The Persian tradition was a contributing force in the development of the Mughal style, as two famous Persian artists from the Safavi court worked in Humayun's studios and later supervised the imperial ateliers of Akbar. Persian elegance and harmony were to influence the rougher, more dynamic and expressive style of indigenous artists. Persian painting was characterized by a linear delicacy, a subtle colour harmony, and a stylization of landscape features.
