dc.descriptionTaken from an Akbarnama, or History of Akbar, the scene depicts an episode in the life of Humayan, father of Akbar. Splendidly arrayed warriors and animals jostle one another in the foreground and middle ground. In the left background are the walls and towers of a city, painted in softened tones to indicate distance. The painting has an airy, spacious quality typical of Mughal miniatures.
