Abstract

19 October 2005. -- Linda Jaivin is the author of four internationally published novels, including the best-selling Eat Me, and the art world satire Miles Walker, You're Dead, as well as two works of non-fiction including the China memoir The Monkey and the Dragon, and several plays on refugee themes. Her next novel is set in Villawood Detention Centre, where she visited and advocated for asylum seekers in detention from November 2001 until recently.
