Abstract
Description
This row of pillars continues for a considerable distance along the path which leads to the temple. Note the Buddha on the pillar on the right, and the vacant spaces on the other pillars where the Buddhas have been chipped away. The temple was first Buddhist, then the Hindu conquerors destroyed the signs of Buddhism and made it a Hindu shrine. The one pillar which was not defaced was found in the jungle.
