Abstract

Description

These are perhaps the most delicate pieces of sculpture in this temple, a fact which suggests that they were added some time after the completion of the temple itself. They represent dancers and musicians. The attitudes are supple, even studied, with an astonishing grace and rhythm. Between the figures the stone is perforated here and there to allow the light to enter.
