Abstract

Evening program, 18 June 1997. -- Martha Sung-Won Lee is a Korean silversmith, Professor at Chong-Ju University, Seoul. Her work and the influence of her teaching on a new generation has created a link between traditional metalwork in Korea and developments in contemporary silversmithing. Korean silversmithing has its own distinct identity and Martha Sung-Won Lee is its most distinctive representative. She is Visiting Artist in the CSA Gold and Silversmithing Workshop; her visit has been funded by the Australia-Korea Foundation.
