Description
Porcelain jug of the Hsuan-te (Xuande) period, Ming dynasty. Its shape is of Persian origin with a cobalt ornament of phoenix and flowers delicately depicted under the glaze. The vessel is light and graceful in execution -- h: 25.5 cm.
