Abstract
Description
Shows Mihrab. They are generally of type shown here, i.e. orgive or pointed arch. And are sacred shapes which when used in mosques sanctify the light or persons passing through the opening. In this instance the Mihrab is the so-called "prayer niche", which is actually a false door pointing the direction to Mecca. Mihrab source reaches back to 2nd century A.D. sources in Near East.
