Abstract

A Neuro-informatics system has been developed that enables the reception, management and distribution of Magnetic Resonance Imaging data and meta-data. This system receives MR images via a DICOM server component, organizes the information according to an Object model, applies access controls, and then distributes the data to authorized end users via a Portal (and replication services). Current development will enable the system to handle other types of data, specifically digitized histology slides, as well as implement a federated environment. The system is implemented with the Mediaflux (TM) asset management framework.
