Abstract

A lantern slide advertisement for garden hoses. The image consists of a drawing that has been photographically transferred onto glass and then hand coloured. The picture shows a woman watering her flowers with a hose. The hose, which is connected to a tap emerging from the bottom border is depicted as if it has broken through a panel that advertises the: PERDRIAU WATERSHED HOSE. The garden has a spacious lawn, a flowering hedge and a trellis. The woman is dressed in white, including her stockings and shoes. The advertisement also declares that: WE CARRY FULL STOCKS.
