Abstract

Description

Houses with higher foundations raised the levels of their cisterns accordingly so that they, too, would be at the same height as ground-floor of the first level itself, Had the building, the foundations of which are visible here, consisted of many rooms on one level, this raised well would have been enclosed into one of the rooms thus providing an interior water supply, The same fine-quality fired brick is apparent in this illustration as well showing the degree to which the Mohenjo-daro builders were able to make extensive and constructive use of a single material for all their building purposes,
