Description

On the afternoon of this eclipse, thousands of Hindus bathed at this one ghat in the Hoogly (Ganges) river at Calcutta - and thousands upon thousands more bathed at the other bathing places near Calcutta, and all over India. This bathing place, located in the heart of the city, is part of the harbor section where the freighters dock.
