Upper row : "Man in net-skirt" feeding Inanna's sheep, this time not accompanied by servant as on parallel piece
this seal has zoomorphic handle, like many others of the period. 2nd row : From Tell Billa, diorite
a reed boat with one man punting & other paddling and EN ("Lord") on stem and stern-post, is approaching temple facade with "ring-pillar" symbols of unidentified god
a procession bringing tribute in form of long chains or belts
ring pillar deity may be related to Inanna. 3rd row : From Uruk, E-anna precinct, treasure-house of level IIIa/II, lapis lazuli, h : 4.3 cm (Berlin)
"man in net-skirt" is standing in reed boat in an attitude of prayer facing a stepped altar with reed bundles (Inanna), carried on back of bull. Bottom row : From near Uruk, marble (Berlin)
"man in net-skirt" feeding blossoming twigs to two Dinka sheep
bundles of reeds associated with inanna
a copper nail attached to a sheep couchant, which served as a handle, still remains in the perforation of the seal.
