Advertisement for Dunlop tyres: pleasurable motoring
Abstract
An advertisement that incorporates a pastel drawing of a waterside scene. In the foreground, a waiter attends to two women and one man who are having afternoon tea under a vine-covered arbour. The car that presumably brought them to this pleasurable location can be seen behind a low wall. Its tyres are Dunlops "Railroad" type which the advertisement claims is: the most popular tyre in Australia. In the distance is a ship with a funnel and mast, a building that is possibly a boathouse, a man walking a dog and a number of people dressed in white. The caption includes: The permanent charm of motoring is the ability to get out into the open - away from the rush and bustle of modern life - in fact a new world awaits the motorist who knows how to really enjoy the benefits conferred by the motor.
