Abstract
Description
Inlaid with malachite. The incised inscription shows that the vessel was made in 279 BC, presumably somewhere near modern Peking, and came as plunder into the hands of its owner. Bronzes resembling it have been found in the graves at Chin-Ts'un, near Luoyang, the Zhou dynasty capital. -- h: 15" (University Museum, Philadelphia).
